Moving to HK in Aug

Hey people,

I'm pretty confirmed moving to HK in Aug from Singapore. I'm just waiting to receive my provisional offer from my future employer. Hopefully, it'll come through in the next few days.

Just a couple of questions to allay my fears.....

I'm going to be living at Park Island as I'm going to work in Ma Wan. Are there any issues there that I should look out for? Are they plenty of restaurants there so that I can feed myself? And what about commuting to HK Island during the weekends for shopping? And please give me advice or info pertaining to living on Ma Wan.

Thanks and looking forward to meeting you nice people real soon!

park island info

Hello. There aren't too many restuarant on Park Island. Commute is okay. Ferry is 24 hrs ro central. Usually half an hour per ferry. After 12 midnight is one hour wait. There's buses to kwai fong and tsing yi. All this place are very convienient with shopping mall close by with buses and MTR. ALso, last but not least there's a bus to tsuen wan (half hour wait) , as always the bus is close to shopping mall with many resturants. Park Island is a good place to live. I live there for two years already, no regrets.

Red face

happijoijoi,

Thanks so much for the reply. I know that there's a shopping mall on Ma Wan. Is it big? Is there a bank there? Is the shopping mall enough for weekly grocery shopping?

more on park island

There's a grocery store park n shop on park island but not as big as the one in kwai fong or tsing yi. Not a big shopping. There's not a bank on park island, but some ATM machine near the bus station. If you go to kwai fong or tsing yi, there's many banks. Don't worry, you won't starve. There are some resturants. I really like living on park island. You get the nice environment and convenient all in one package.

Hi, our company has not decide the office location yet. On 9th April, i will be going to HK with our Japan HQ members for confirming the office location. I think most likely will be Tsim Sha Tsui.
