anyone into underground hip-hop, reggae, etc..

Just thought I'd hop on here to see if there are any people that listen to underground hip-hop(not that radio mainstream BS you hear all over the radio, MTV, etc.), Reggae, DnB, psychedelic trance, house or some good breaks, or what not.
I noticed there are not a whole lot of venues that play some real good pure music in HK. Just looking for a crowd whos into the types of music listed above lemme know folks!

I would like to listen to some underground hiphop and reggae. But I don't think there's a venue which plays them here. Ever notice that even the mainstream hiphop/pop music they play in the bars are, like, from several years back?

What's up Cali You came to the right place. Drop plays underground hip-hop on Friday night I believe. You'll hear J5 and Slum Village n stuff like that...so I hear anyway. I met the guys who run it a few weeks ago. If you like reggae, there's only one place to go really - Club 97 on Sunday nights. If you guys wanna check it out, I'm definitely down to organize something. Can't really go to Drop cuz I work all day Saturday. Such are the disadvantages of having copious quantities of free time during the week. I like dancehall and drum and bass too.

Oh yeah...this girl I met last night said Dragon I had really good old school NYC house last Saturday. Don't know if it's a regular thing though. Went to Dragon I last night to see DJ Premier...went with two of my friends, both Chinese-American from California (LA and the Bay area).

I feel your pain life enjoyer - it's tough - the only thing I have found that is even close to this is Raggae night Sundays at 1997 in Lang Kwai Fung - they play a fun mix of dub, rocksteady and roots - good vibe in there too - perfect way to start/end the week!

Gets going about 1030/11 - there was a fair amount of free sofas when I was there last.... I gave up on hearing any decent electronica although I heard Yumla sometimes has decent drum and bass nights?? Apparently there used to be a few outdoor parties in Lamma/outlying islands in the summer - you can always live in hope
