I'm doing a virus-scan on my computer and so far it has detected a Win95/CTX virus in many of my files. The status is "clean failed, moved." Does anybody know what this means? What kind of virus is this and why clean failed? Thanks.

Clean failed means it couldn't clean up the infected file therefore quaranteened it.

The scan has finished and it says some of the files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions, and to remain system stability, it requires me to insert my Windows CDs to restore the original versions. I've found the files are restricted to one part of my hard disks and some files were downloaded from China sites! Anyone knows more about the Win95/CTX virus?

Thanks very much, jimbo and shri. I've forgot to run anti-virus for a long time. That explains why. Shri, Thanks for the website.
