Indian Lunch Buffet?

Anyone know where I can find one? Looking for one on the cheaper side if possible. Bombay Dreams is out of the question. Anyone know much about the Chunking Mansions in TST? Those places are ghetto, but have some really good food. Not sure about buffetts though. Malaysian/Nepalese/Paskistan just as good. I think that Indian might be the worlds favorite cuisine when you add it all up.

My personal (and new) favorite is Jashan -- down hollywood road a couple of building away from Bollywood.

Great food .. $88 including a beer and tea/coffee. Much better than the turkey thingy at Al's.

There are a couple of others .. i'll dig around and let you know.

I like the weekday lunch buffet at Viceroy in Wan Chai (Sun Hung Kai center - sp?). $98 including a drink.

i actually found one:

Minar Restaurant on Hennessy Road in Wan Chai
Ive never eaten there yet, but it looks pretty nice.
Lunch buffet is $68, quite a good price, but still more expensive than most lunch buffets in US.

Kohinoor in Lan Kwai Fong has a $50 buffet and is right on par with the Indian food you get in the US (pretty ... umm... mediocre).

I still stand by Jashan, Dickens and Bombay Dreams representing some of the better deals

for a real veg out try the thali at Branto on Lock road TST. And you don't even have to move, as its all there in front of you. Can't remember how much though.

Exclamation How many vegetarians in Hongkong

How many vegetarians in Hongkong among Indians.
Can I find some vegetarian exclusive restaurants apart from bronto.
Bronto seems to be comparatively very expensive with too low qty.vegetarians

Don't know the exact figure but there are a sizeable number of 'herbivores' amongst Indians in HK.

There are no dearth of veggie restaurants in HK. Although most of them serve Chinese food and are run by Buddhists, there are also other alternatives....

For a complete list, try this link...http://www.ivu.org/hkvegan/gb/main.html

Bon Appetit..

Try Woodlands in TST.

Also there are a number of buddhist vegetarian restaurants in HK.

Not sure what you mean by "low qty" ... low quality?

Brantos is your typical bombay food. Perhaps not appreciated by those not from Bombay.

No No No Kia you will have to go back to text msging school

"Low qty" yaneke Low QUANTITY

Just the antidote for Branto

Tiffin at the Grand Hyatt where till 14th May you can sample regional specialties from around India, cooked up by chefs from Hyatt Regency Delhi.
The Lunch Buffet is $210 except Sunday when it is $325. And you also get to win a travel package to Delhi.
