Help Please - Visitors

hello,
we are having some US friends visiting with their 6 year old kid and need help with what they can do while they are here?

1) Any suggestions for fun/tourist activities?

2) Any suggestions for where to get discount tickets to Disneyland, Ocean Park, etc.?

3) Is it worth doing the Pink Dolphin viewing? How do we book that trip?

Thanks so so much to everyone in advance.

I know the visitor's guide says everything. But just wanted to write this....

Coming from the US they would love to shop in Stanley Market. You can drop in for a delicious Indian lunch at Curry Pot.
The Peak will also be fun.....try going on a clear day.
Since they have a child, Ocean Park should be fun. I especially like the cable car in it.

Thanks - will definitely get to Stanley Market and the Peak, as well as Ocean Park.

Anyone know about Pink Dolphin watching or discount tickets to OP or Disneyland?

Thanks again everyone.

Overated. I'd take them on a cruise if they really do want to get out and see Hong Kong from a boat.

http://www.saffron-cruises.com has some decent priced deals.

Thanks again. Any ideas for discount tickets for Disneyland or Ocean Park - do discount tickets even exist?? Or do we just buy them at the gate?

BTW - the timing for the visit is the week before Easter - not sure if that is a busy period for any of the tourist sites.

Would love to just sign the visitors up for a couple of tours and let them get the real tourist experience.

This workers' union http://www.hkftu.com.hk/ has discount tickets for Ocean Park. Non Member (adult) $161, (child) $84.

1-2/F., FOK SING BLDG, 234-238 SHAUKEIWAN RD., H.K.
25699622

1/F., ON FAI BLDG., 82 OLD MAIN ST., ABERDEEN, H.K.
25550322

They have another centre at 368, Lockhart Rd, 1/F Parklane Bldg.,Wanchai. 28329181
But the prices are Non-Member $165 (adult), $85 (child).

Try to find a local friend to go with you since they don't speak English, I think.

If you have a local part-time helper, you can ask her to buy them for you. Since most probably she's a member and can get member's price (more discount than this).

Disneyland doesn't have discount tickets at present.

HK Disneyland

Not too sure about Disneyland dear... esp if they're coming from the US (where they've the best Disneyland). They will find the HK Disneyland too crowded with way too many mainland visitors trying to push their way through and jumping into the queue.
