Does anyone know where I can a cheap flight from HK to Hanoi? I have been checking out a few travel agencies incl. Travel Expert, Farrington Amex, etc... but the fare is so expensive. Apparently, I've been told that flights to Hanoi are always expensive regardless of the time/season. Is this true?

I went there in Sep 2005
Cheapest plane ticket was above 4K
I see sometimes good promotions for Ho Chi Min flights, so, reconsider going there and then local to Hanoi if you have time.

From HK it is basically very difficult to get a cheap fair to Hanoi.
Your best bet is Guanghsou. I flew from Guanghzou about a year ago and the round trip tickets was less than 2.500
