Yello, hello,

Just making a few inquiries into the HK club scene before venturing out sometime this week, so decided to sign up to this forum in search of aid; hope you can help.

Where exactly, taking into account budget (average-priced, possibly a little higher) is the best place to go clubbing in Tsim Sha Tsui? Me and two other friends are currently staying up near Sheung Shui and are dying to get trashed, and have some fun. If Tsim Sha Tsui doesn't have any decent bars or clubs HK island suggestions are just as welcomed.

Secondly, whats the deal with ladies night? I've browsed the forums a little and after reading a message describing the HK Club scene as dubious on weekends and virtually non-existant in the weekdays, I'm curious if it'll be worth going out? To put it bluntly, we're all 18, single, and deprived of female contact.. go figure.

Jokes aside, we're just looking for some places to have some laughs, get down 'n boogie, and trade conversation with some other westerners (not that the conversation with the locals on the bus isn't great fun.. it's.. just.. interesting) But are just as open to a place with a mix of both.

Does appear that friday and saturday are the best times to do this, so a few suggestions here and there would be much appreciated; clubs, bars, whatever. Oh, and a little information on ladies night would be great also, Dig?!

i hear that place is the ultimate meat market these days...loads of young skanks and apparently its dead easy to pull. you being out in sheng shui though...what the hell are you doing out there??? haha. you might be better off getting on the train and heading to shenzhen and clubbing out there (i hear thats loads of fun too).

i dont know a darn thing about clubbing in TST, so i cant help you there...but speaking from having made a mistaken detour on my way to somplace hip and groovy, hei hei, out in central somewhere...has a ladies night this wednesday or something...

they play hip hop (not my bag, but young whipper snappers out here seem to love the whole swearing and being called a ho thing!) so you can head on down there to see girls your age lip synch to "dont you wish your girlfriend was hot like me!"

We're actually based in Man Kam To, a little north of Sheung Shui, alongside the border for China. One of my friend's half-chinese so he has relatives in a village, so we've got a place to ourselves for the next 5 months.

Appreciate the advice on the meat market, but would prefer western girls to skanks, none of us are seriously desperate.

Not too keen on hip-hop culture, at least to dance to - much prefer rockin' out to some decent music, although it doesn't sound like theres much of it here No problemo though, fun night is all we're after, place we can rely on.

Any other suggestions within HK?
