The working visa guidelines look complex, so in order to demonstrate potential income would it be better to register a company in the UK and after a while use the revenue figures in the Working Visa application?

Seems to be difficult otherwise to demonstrate potential monthly income to the HK Immigration.

Any ideas?

If you have contracts in Hong Kong, you can use them to justify potential income.
