There are many choices... I think we need some indication of budget, and whether wine is important to you or not...

for the budget...well...not sure...maybe 400/person for food and 400/bottle of wine...what do you think?

If you pick up this week's HK Magazine there's a supplementary 2006 dining guide which gives a good rundown on many great french restaurants in Hong Kong, their prices, atmosphere and so on and so forth. Other than that I recommend "PLATS" near the Lan Kwai Fong area on Wellington. Exact address is: 2/F Yu Wing Building, 64-66 Wellington Street.

Also the newly opened Paris Cafe in Soho looks nice. Has that whole romantic, nostalgic parisian feel. Haven't tried the food though.

For that budget I'd second the recommendation for Le Tire Bouchon.

As a french person I certainly wouldn't recommend, the food is very very average, it's super disappointing.
