Anyone know if the World Baseball Classic (i.e. the baseball world cup) is being televised on any channel available in HK? It's supposed to start this weekend.

It's gonna be awful. Theres a flood of high-profile players backing out, plus all the mlb team owners are putting pressure on it to cancel. It's gonna be like watching college ball without metal bats... yawn.

True, and it's too bad. You can thank George Steinbrenner for screwing things up. Still, I'm kind of curious how the whole thing is going to turn out. And there are still a few big-name players who'll be taking part.

Like GWB said...I can't see how it's going to really prove to be a "best on best" tournament with so many holdouts...

I'm really not sure it'll be shown anywhere in Hong Kong though. Maybe ESPN on Now Broadband TV?
