Gday,

I know this has been done to death, but would appreciate peoples opinion on our situation.

I will be moving to Hong Kong this year for work. My wife will be coming on a dependant visa. Ideally, she would like to bring her current job from Australia with her. Her job will be working from home for an Australian company, travelling to and from Oz a few times each year.

We understand an investment visa may work, but we dont have HK$6 mill up our sleeves.

Setting up a company in Hong Kong would be a last resort as she would work from home, therefore not require an office or staff.

What would be the best way to approach this?

If she's not drawing a salary in Hong Kong and is not employed by a Hong Kong company -- we're looking at a big gray area.
