Hi all,

We're a married couple, desperately looking for a small but clean flat (w/ kitchen, washing machine, bathroom, one-two bedrooms),preferably in HK island, to rent for a long term (more than 1 year).

We've looked for some info at gohome.com, but since, unluckily we have a very tight budget (max.is HK$5000/month), it's quite hard to find, but we haven't given up (yet). We're quite sure that those economical flats are not advertised on net... any locals heard about this kind of flat?

Just checked Kennedy Town on Gohome and there are a few flats in the $5K range. Why don't you go look around the area and see if any agents can show you some flats

How about some of the listings here?. That one is in Wan Chai, but your budget doesn't exactly allow you to be picky

There are some permanent moorings on the south side for boats and they are relatively inexpensive. You could try contacting the guy at www.liveaboards-asia.com . Although he mainly sells custom-made and preowned houseboats, he also knows loads available for rent. He'll also give you the heads up on marinas. hope this helps.
