Asics running shoes

Anyone know where to get these in HK. They don't stock the Asics brand at Giga or Marathon. I did see a small store in Ocean Terminal that had some Asics running shoes but not an overly large selection. I haven't had a chance to walk to every corner of Mongkok yet and only saw one store selling Asics fashion shoes there. So anyone know where to get Asics running shoes (Kayono, nimbus etc)?

ralf_07 is on a distinguished road
Try Stanley Market. Saw some Kayano there. Not very cheap though. Around 1390 HK$

There's a store that sells Asics in Harbour Centre in TST.. they also have a location in Central I think. Umm I can't remember the name, but it's over by the Toys R Us I think... You'll see a lot of old people shopping, because that's where the cruise ships dock

hey Nation,

you will find it hard to get the right Asics shoes here. the links PDLM gave are the best bet, athletics nation had a good but very small selection of good asics shoes last time i went there, but he's moved now and i dunno where he is (the website should have the address)..

also, as melissaM said, you could try Mizuno.

If you were after Nimbus or Kayano, can i assume you're a mild over pronator? if so, mb try mizuno Wave Alchemy 6, or Wave renegade 3. the renegades are pricey, but the best stability shoe Mizuno makes. I got the Alchemy, set me back $550, i think. Very stable at the heel, roomy in the toes... if you've used nimbus, i think these are a good second, if not more roomy in the toes...

happy running

Good post. Couple of additions:
- Athlectic Nation used to be in Wanchai/CWB, now is in Mongkok (website has address and a map).
- 10k has a decent range of Asics (venturing a guess 20+ different models).

IMO Athletic Nation gave more qualified advice, but 10k had a better range of Asics.
Doesn't matter, I am sticking to my Mizunos - am back to my beloved (despite the hideous colors in the latest version) Wave Precisions after an ill-fated stint with the Wave Aeros. Durability is the only downside (notable deterioration after ~3 months), othwerise no complaints.

yes...
but like all things, they are not for everyone...
the one thing I found difficult about buying shoes from a brand I did not know, is that there was a lack of salespeople who know these shoes themselves (I did find a few very helpful people, after searching for ages).

I went to buy my mizunos (after giving up on finding my size asics numbus), and questioned the sales staff at a lot of places - are these shoes for over pronators, are they stability control, are they for high arches or flat feet... one of the best answers i got was.. "we don't know, we just sell the shoes"...

i thought OMG, you cannot be serious!! for fash-trash joggers, ok, but performance runners designed for specific feet, you HAVE to know who to sell what shoe to...!!

anyway, i just realised this thread is over a year old... i hope you've found your joggers by now, nation
