I live in Canada and will be graduating soon. Does anyone know when is the usual time in the year for CX to start interviewing candidates? Just want to see if I come back to Hong Kong and give it a shot in time.
Nelson, just out of curiosity, do you have HK PR ?
I am interested to join CX cadet pilot programme, unfortunately, I don't have HK PR. My parents have HK PR, however, I don't. I am residing in the US and holding US PR. Anyway to get around the HK PR requirement for CX cadet pilot programme?
Can I suggest that you will find a lot more expertise in the subject area if you go to PPRune (the Professional Pilots' RUmour NEtwork) at http://www.pprune.org/forums/ and then go to the "Fragrant Harbour Wannabes" forum.
A: There is no way around being accepted into the cadet programme without PR unless you work for CX already as they sponsor 2 staff per year into the programme.
They are interviewing all the time, infact find it hard to get cadets that have a passion for the job. No need applying if all you want to do is work for CX you must have a passion to fly. The interviewers can tell if you don't they want to know how long you have wanted to be a pilot, and what other ways if any have you gone about trying to succeed other than applying for the scheme.
