Top Deck at the Jumbo?

Has anyone been to this restaurant yet? Recommend it or not? If the weather is cold/wet, is it going to be an issue?

PS. Tried Wooloo Mooloo's at the weekend. Great food but very expensive - as in 280 HKD upwards for a (big) steak excluding veg. Had a 1-inch thick slice of roast prime rib that they do on a Friday/ Saturday night. However, would probably go back to the argentinian steak house on Elgin St next time unless someone else was paying (sorry can't remember the name - La Sampa?)

Been there twice and love it. You can dine indoor if the weather is not good.

We tried the buffet and a la carte - both were great. Have a good time PhilE!

Thanks! Will post how we get on (though the admins will probably rightly suggest I do that under the resources -> reviews )

I agree with Tulip. Top Deck at the Jumbo is very good. We went there on Christmas Day for lunch and it was absolutely wonderful.

Quick update - 4 of us tried Top Deck on Saturday night. Bit annoyed to be seated outside after requesting a table inside - particularly on a wet and cool night. They had a big party inside which probably had something to do with it. At least we felt nice and safe - was the HK Lifeguards Society

Food and wine was OK with reasonable prices, but didn't think the menu was very exciting and my steak was overdone. Service was ok but nothing special - nice evening but have had much better in town. Maybe lunch/ brunch is a better bet.

I heard from someone who was a part of a big group last weekend (Friday?) that the food was fairly ordinary ...

Would have thought that Cafe Deco would have put some effort into it ..
