Question Can i work while waiting for my visa ?

Hi everyone,

I've read on the website of the Hong Kong Government that I need to wait for 4 to 6 weeks before getting my working visa.

I still haven't found a sponsor, but I'd like to know if i can start working while the Government is making my visa. I mean that I don't know if I have to wait several weeks for getting the visa or if i can start working as soon as they accept to process my application.

Thanks very much for your help

and you better not do it cos they do some random check.....so if you get the SPONSOR you better wait 4 or 6 week..afterall it is not that long..than getting caught working illegaly and being send back to your home country....

Don't risk it! And what if you don't like your job after a few weeks? You won't legally be entitled to any pay as your visa won't have come through!
