GoHome website

Hi

I was wondering if the GoHome website is representative of the HK rental market or if its target group is more upscale.

In other words, how much would a 800 sqf apartment in Central Midlevels be? Are there apartments with balconies?

The gohome website is very representative of the HK market as they have consolidated listings from several hundred real estate agents.

The price of an 800 sq ft apartment can vary a lot, depending on the building you're in and the facilities offered by that building.

Do keep in mind that the listings are "asking prices" and are usually negotiatble for the right tenant (i.e. company lease etc).

If cost is an issue -- don't live in Mid Levels there are plenty of places with easy access to the MTR / Ferries which are cheaper.

Thanks Knowitall,

I do not want to live to far from work (I'd be working in Cheung Kong Center). How long would it take me to get there if i lived e.g. in the eastern / western midlevels or happy valley?

Regards,

Guido

20-25 minutes depending on the traffic.

Cheung Kong is right next to the MTR so you'd be able to live virtually anywhere the MTR goes and be within 20-25 minutes from work. Cheung Kong is a bit of a tough on, as its not really on the escalator and the "mythical walk to work" is usually a cab ride.
