Retire in HK???

You must be out of your mind. Move to India. I have several friends who recently moved to South India and love it there.

Nothing wrong with retiring in HK if you're using it as a base for your worldwide travels.

Retiring in HK

I agree it's ultimately the person's choice where someone wants to retire.

But at the same time here are some facts about H.K.

- H.K. has no universal health care
-Assuming you aren't married or have no kids, most of H.K.'s retirement homes are either very expensive or sub-standard
-H.K. is very polluted, which isn't such a good thing for older people in general.

So...keep these points in mind, and the choice is all yours.

If you are an overseas Chinese you may prefer HK as the place to live after retirement. As far as I know ,many overseas Chinese are living in Singapore.
