Help with Zuji.com - Please!!!!

Hello listfolks

Does anyone here know of anyone who works at Zuji.com travel agent?

I made the mistake of booking a ticket through them to London only to find the return portion of the ticket has been cancelled.

They have taken a week to contact me about this and despite 2 days of trying to sort this out I am no closer to getting back to Hong Kong any time soon.

I have been trying to deal with their call centre but it is almost impossible to describe how useless they are (and oh for a night's sleep where they don't call me at 2am!!!).

So if anyone has a name and number of someone senior at Zuji I can call to try to sort this out I would be eternally grateful!

Thanks Paul

Do I call now and catch Kim at midnight so they can experience what it is like to receive calls in the middle of the night or leave it to the morning

Beware all - Zuji kindly booked me on a return flight to London with the return portion on a schedule that didn't exist.

The net result of trying to get back to Hong Kong has been a 'it is your problem, we can sell you another ticket if you like, other than that we have your cash, you don't have a flight, so ha ha'!

Gets the blood boiling

If you booked this using a credit card company then contact them and dispute the charge. That will focus Zuji's attention.

I have tried that and they have been next to useless. Zuji have booked me on a flight that does get me back to HK, but have failed to mention that it involved a 50 hour stop over in the airport in Moscow (no offer of hotel or anything)!!! Luckily the airline pointed this out to me.

Spoke to the credit card company and apparently, according to Lloyds TSB, because my current account that provides the credit card also has an insurance service, I have to put in a claim based on the current account terms and conditions, not the credit card. I have spoken to the insurance company and they have told me that their maximum cover is £80, or less than it would cost for a hotel for one night in Moscow. Not that I can get into a hotel as I won't have a visa.

Zuji have had a supervisor call me up to say that although I am stuffed, should I consider booking a different return flight they would be happy to sell it to me! This is no joke! They also said that although they brand themselves as your online travel guru, they were not aware of a time difference between Europe and Singapore and that is why they keep calling me at 1am.

I have learnt my lesson. Never ever using those clowns at Zuji again and I have called BA and booked a flight home directly with the airline. I am sure it will prove easier in the long run. That is the end of the line with online travel agents for me.

I would contact the credit card provider and dispute the charge on the basis that you didn't receive the service for which you paid or that the service provided was oversold. A decent credit card company would understand and get your money back. I am in the middle of a dispute right now!

What I don't understand is how you committed to pay for a flight for which you didn't know the schedule? I would never pay for flights until I have seen the exact itinerary.

If you have any type of travel insurance, you might be able to get a reimbursement - anyway have a safe trip back to HK.

Exactly right! I thought Zuji lay out the flight choices with full itinerary and let you select and only then take to on to ticketing and payment. Strange! If the itinerary is different from the one you selected there has to be some redress.

They do. It isn't possible to book flights on their system without selecting the flights offered.

The itinerary they sent me and the ticket times are not what the airline can provide, leaving me stuck in the UK. Zuji have been totally useless about trying to sort it out and have now resorted to telling barefaced lies to try to cover up their incompetence. The last time they called they left a message simply to say that I was up a creek without a paddle, but if I did want to purchase another ticket to get home, they would be happy to sell it to me!

I strongly think I won't be using Zuji again and have just booked a flight back from British Airways. I guess I will have to try to get compensation for this wasted ticket on return but so far Zuji have said I am not entitled to any (because they did offer me a return trip, which had a 50 hour sit down and wait stay in Moscow - which I refused).
