Magnetic window cleaner

I'm trying to find a pair of those window cleaners that work by magnets.

We have so many bars on the windows to prevent the kids falling out that they are impossible to get to.

Any one seen any in their travels?

Valencia1 will become famous soon enough
I used to have one a few years ago. Unfortunately, I could neve use it because our windows use double layers of glass, which is too thick for the magnets to stick together. This type of magnet cleaner was in fashion a few years ago, but it's not popular. There's the risk of the part sticking outside the window falling off hurting people.

Valencia, someone said you have to tie the outside one to your wrist to avoid accidents, hadn't considered the thick glass scenario.

Honey, be a honey and tell me the source, you torture me...

I got it at Panasonic, National Brand. I don't know if this is what you're looking for, it's a magnetic window cleaner, 2 pieces, one piece has a garter/plastic cord that you insert in your one hand, then you put that piece outside the window, put the other one inside the window, magnet, then you slide it from right to left, up and down, in case you swipe it fast, the piece outside mightl fall but it's tied in your hand so it's safe to get it back......oh, well, i don't know if i have explained it clearly or i have confused you more. You just go to any panasonic shop and they have it, there's one in 10f sogo.

My helper said there is a cheaper version in the market, not panasonic, but it's not easy to use, no idea why she said that.

Mine is quite expensive, 200+(? can't remember anymore), but it's worth it.

Hope that helps.

you can find those on any market street, or probably in a chinese home store. around here they are one of the rotating 'demonstration items' along with the shirt folder. I see those everyday, many times with the previous demonstrater looking on as a customer. In case you havn't noticed this yet, lots of chinese people will stop to look at something if someone else is looking at it.

I don't know much about the island, but mon kok is close to it, try sai yee street there, its close to the kcr station.
