Anyone stayed at David Bangkok Hotel?

hi. my husband and i are going to Bangkok for 3-4 day trip. never been there before so safety is important. someone on this forum recommended Asiaroom.com for hotels - and it looks like Davis Bangkok is a good choice in terms of money and quality. I am looking for nice accommodations, but do not want to go nuts and break the bank. any comments on this hotel and other suggestions? Thanks!!

Davis Bangkok

Just stayed at Davis - very good value 4-5* for 3*price- make sure you get into the corner wing and ask for upgrade ,I managed an upgrade to a suite with a jacuzzi and suana in the front room. Breakfast incld is good but otherwise food just ok - lots of Thai rest. nearby.

Pool is small but good spa ,not really child friendly and pool gets busy. Not in a great area but very good supermarket across the road and plenty of taxis and bikes outside.

Good Irish bar - Dubliners and English bar - Robin Hood on main road
if you need stodge and sports fix all close at 12.30pm
