Hi HKExchange. How's your search for African Americans coming along?! I'm not American but English with African/Caribbean heritage if that counts. Just arrived in HK 3 days ago ...

My search for "African Americans" is not going well - but maybe I was too specific - I should have just said "Looking for Black Folks"

I think English with African/Caribbean Heritage counts. I have alot of cousins who are "English with African Heritage". I was actually born and raised in Sierra Leone until the age of six.

What brings you to HK?

I'm based in Kowloon on Clear Water Bay. I'm doing my final semester of my MBA on exchange at HKUST - decided to come learn about finance and business in China - although I consider myself to be on vacation - I'll be here until June

Sounds like they're keeping you busy at the law firm - I'm counting down the days, very slowly, until I have to go back to work - I've been here for five weeks now, so I've seen quite a bit of HK - you should try to get out of the office - its a fun city

I have a group of friends visiting from the states this weekend and will probably hit the town with them. Any plans for the weekend?

I am from Texas. My husband is from North Carolina. He works for a TV network. I am a freelancer (housewife). We live in Tin Hau, it is a spacious flat. We frequent Skitz on weekends because the band is about as close as one can get to American music in this town.

I dont have any plans for the weekend other than moving on Saturday to another apartment (which I think is gonna be smaller than the already tiny apartment I have now ...)

Saturday I'll be at the hong kong football club (in happy valley) watching my team in rugby match in the afternoon (i would be playing but i injured my ankle) - if you're into rugby you're welcome to join us - even if you're not into rugby it will be fun

later I'll be hanging out with friends at Aqua at One Peking Road in TST at 9pm - let me know if you would like to join us

I haven't heard of Skitz - where exactly is that?

I also want to know where Skitz is and what kind of live music they play! The reason I ask is because my husband is a prof musician and would like to play in a really good band when we move to HK.
