help on getting broadband

so ive read up on some of the threads here, but i dont really understand some of the things being said. How comes some of the broadband packages offer free chanels? are like the broadband packages linked with TV? i have cable tv at the moment, so does that have anything to do with the NOW or what ever it is?? i live in Tseung Kwan O, and currently, i think im using the connection that came with this property. Im not too sure, i only just moved here you see, and my sister doesnt really know either. She says something bout it being a 10mb connection that is shared between the whole tower. thats like mad, considering theres like 50 floors. Anyway, i dont upload much things, i mostly download. like downloading animes using BT and other things. So what ISP should i use and how much are they? oh, and are they all on contracts? cos like im leaving in july. thanx.

CableTV's competitor for pay tv is PCCW's NOW broadband tv. PCCW offer their NOW service with some free tv channels like ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), weather, traffic and other worthless channels. Everything else is chargeable. Their website gives you a rough idea of the prices but you will be offered package deals that are much cheaper. NOW is available to most of the territory. CableTV is not. If you don't want to be tied to a 12/18-month contract you could pay by the month for NOW.
