Chai Wan anyone?

Hi guys

My husband and I are researching areas to live when we move to HK - someone suggested Chai Wan as it is close to his work - anyone know about this area or can suggest alternatives. We're looking under 10k (if poss) unfurnished ok, with some facilities. Not a major partier, so not worried about that but would prefer not to be too far in the boonies!

Cheers
Elle

Chai Wan is the last stop on the mtr that runs all the way from the City so that is a plus - haven't timed it but maybe a 25min journey. Along the way just 2 stops from central is Wan Chai - are you sure it wasn't Wan Chai that was recommended to you?

Heng Fa Chuen

I would suggest Heng Fa Chuen.. it's just 1 MTR station away from Chaiwan, not too crowded, quite green around and also at the waterfront, I'm sure you'd like it!!

Not too sure about the rental level, but it worths a try!

Cheers, Blom

Thanks!

Thanks for the responses.

Larac, it certainly is Chai Wan rather than Wan Chai - I got confused but double checked. So that is 25 mins away from?

Littleblom - it has a waterfront?! That sounds lush! - Will check it out...

If work is near Chai Wan and you are not major partiers, the area has relatively cleaner air and you can hike over the hill to big wave bay..a plus in my book!
