Hi, I am getting an offer from an interntional investment bank in HK for a senior IT position. I am currently in the US. Not sure about the HK job market. How much should I ask for? 950K HKD reasonable?

950K is reasonable. Usually an expat posting at VP / GM / AVP level will include housing.

Make sure you get a good tax consultant to sort things out for you before you leave.

hi, KnowitAll or anyone - what's the range for a VP level in ibank IT in Hong Kong?
My recruiter also told me i need to take a salary cut as lower tax in hong kong will give me the same net as in US. How much truth this has?

u still have to pay US tax. so get a tax equilization..

but.. well, 950k is decent.. is that all in or just basic ?
