Best place to go for Wedding Aniversary?

Hi All (again),

I know I am full of questions but I like to know a lot about a place before I get there.

Whilst my wife and I are in HK it is our 6th wedding aniversary and we would like to go out somewhere nice. I read the thread on best eateries (and have noted them all down) but can anyone suggest a great place for a wedding anniversary?

The most important factor is the food, it has to be great, but we wouldn't mind something Authentic (if there is such a thing in Hong Kong) not to touristy if you know what I mean. Possible with a great view of the city?

Where do the locals go for a romantic dinner

Cheers,
W00DY

Talking

Tuscany inside Ritz-Carlton, French cuisine, great food, nice atmosphere, no view.....very expensive

When you said authentic, I suppose you meant Chinese food. This is tough as most of the Chinese restaurants setting are not romantic. If you really want to have local food, try "One, Harbour Road" inside Grand Hyatt, great food, harbour view (one of the 3 best night scene in the world), superb atmosphere.....and of course price is superb too

Anyway, hopw you enjoy your stay.. Happy anniversary

1 Peking Road. Breathtaking view from the restaurants there. Bunch of restaurants you can pick from but the ultimate romantic one would be Aqua Roma. Aqua spirit is the cocktail bar area where you can catch a drink after. On the 29th and 30th floor.

Hutong is more authentic food and perched on the 28th floor. Heard rave reviews about it though have yet to try it myself.

Felix located at the Peninsular Hotel is also another traditionally well-known retaurant for a romantic night out.

Isola located at IFC is a chic place with a nice harbour view.

Cipriani's at Old Bank of China building - great italian, old-style glitzy ambiance.

Oh I totally forgot! The Peak Lookout Huge menu where you can find a whole range of exotic dishes. Prices aren't bad either. Sit outside in the garden and you can enjoy the breeze from up on the peak. Yes, you have to take the tram up to the peak first. Restaurant is right near the tram station. Loved the place and found the ambience romantic and fun at the same time. Make sure it's a relatively nice evening though or you might end up handling your cutlery with frozen hands...
