I feel good. So maybe you all can wipe the self satisfied smile of my face.
After looking for ages , finally decided to put my hand in my pocket and get me a Colour Laser Printer.
Went down to Broadway and Fortress, ( yes I did go to WC, CB and SSP before ) settled on what I thought was the best non HP device at HKD2780 at Broadway.
Thank God for the stupidity of them for not having any in the shop to sell. Only a delivery service.
Exit Boris mutting " what sort of F'ing shop doesn't stock frigging goods to actually sell ". This of course to the obligatory titters of the Saturday staff seeing another Gweilo well satisfied.
So decided to cool of by going to C2 in Star City to be even more disappointed.
Lo and behold and a miracle should appear.
Samsung CLP-500N ( not marked down ) at HKD2280 !!
AND its network equippied AND its got a seprate casette thing so you can stick envelopes in and not have to fart about changing A4 in and out all the time.
I was so shocked I had to buy a graphics tablet to make up the difference to what I was prepared to spend before.
Result ?
I think so. Especially as its a network printer and not a cut down version you need to pay a fortune for to upgrade. Oh -- and its got all the other sexy support emulations as well.
Unless you know better ???
The only suprise was the driver and network driver CDs wher bowed like Robin Hoods main armament !
However a quick go at Samsung website to download the software and I am spending the rest of the day printing colour catalogues to my hearts content.
