I am about to make a reservation for a one bedroom serviced apartment at this place. Got its website http://www.apartments.com.hk/main.html but not enough info. Does anyone have any comment on this place? It would be great if someone who lived there before could give some inputs...

Haven't stayed there before but I do know that area well. I think for Bauhinia they got a gym and a laundry room for people staying there. In the same building there's also a doctor (not related to that company) so it'd come in handy if you need a doctor. Convenient, can reach there by MTR, tram, bus and minibus. Considerably a nice amount of food place nearby, and if you need to go to a supermarket there's one that's 10-min walk away. Not sure what other info you may want but if you want more info in that area go ahead and ask.

saw the rooms. fairly decent. for that price, i guess that's what u'd get for well furnished apartments on HK Island. did not stay in so cannot comment on anything.

I know someone who stayed there for 12months or so. Aside from it being expensive (in the context of a not serviced apt) he had no complaints. Given this is short term accomodation I would sign up and see how it goes.

I've heard that the buzz from the helicopters can get pretty annoying at times... not too sure about the source (this was after a few beers)...

The helicopter noise very much depends on the wind direction. Well at least if you live a bit further away. You can hear the helicopter from Queens Road West and certainly from Wing Lok Street so yep Helicopter noise is going to feature in your life. That said it is going to have to compete with the trams that rumble past and the busses!
