Arrival before wedding

So I'm scheduled to arrive in Hong Kong a month before my wedding to a PR. The xerox copy of the first page of my passport is on file with the marriage registry.

As I understand it, I won't be able to file for a dependent's visa until after the wedding. My travel agent is worried about me arriving to Hong Kong on a one-way ticket without a special visa already in hand. Is this something that I should worry about?

You will need to show a two way ticket.. or a ticket out to someother place.

Not sure how stringent they are with different nationalities, but I'm sure they're pretty strict with south / south-east asian passport holders.

hello

I do advise getting a return ticket, as they may ask when you arrive. As Knowitall said it does depend on where you are from on the likelihood of them questioning you on why you just have a single trip ticket.

If you are marrying a permanent resident and you successfully obtain a dependant visa you can work in Hong Kong on that.
