What's the market price for external 60G h/d?

I hope some kind soul would know the answer to this, since I saw this on the web but I've not had a chance to go to the Computer Center to check for market prices myself....

Does $570 sound like a fair price? includes:

- 60GB notebook size (2.5") USB2.0 external hard disk/mobile hard disk with Fujitsu 60GB drive MHT2060AT inside.

- 100% new USB2.0 case with Fujitsu 60GB drive inside.

1. Hard drive's total power-on time guranteed less than 20 hours (this information is recorded inside the hard disk SMART black box).

2. 3 Days warranty against natural damages.

Baron is an unknown quantity at this point.
3 Days warranty sounds pretty short?

Sounds reasonable...

Market trends are towards 200GB drives for about US$ 175-200.

Or you could just get a standard 3.5 inch 120GB Western Digital drive for $52x and a 3.5 inch HDD USB case for under $100. The drive will last you longer and come with a year's warranty.

Jumbo Computer Supplies is one place. Prices may be cheaper in other stores.

Wah, you guys are great, I totally missed the point about the 3.5" and power cord.. I'm all for plug and play, and less cords taking up my valuable floorspace as it is, looks like a go.

That's right but you need to remember that USB-only drives thought smaller and lighter can only draw so much power from the connection (mainboard) and so the drives are smaller in capacity and slower running at 4,200rpm or 5,400rpm at the best. Fine for backup storage/infrequently accessed data.
