Calli is on a distinguished road
preschools for 4 year olds

just found out we will be moving to HK in early 2006. We have 4 year old boy/girl twins. My husband will work in Central, but we have no idea where we'll live.
Does anyone recommed preschools. What are teh ages for preschool. Is kindergarten part of preschool or primary. What are the preschools like? We would be coming from a play based preschool in California that we love.

Should be able to go to regular Kindergarden at that age.

Look at the following web sites

Which school you send your kids will depend on where you live. If you want the American system then try HKIS:

The ESF schools are very good and are all over the place.

We started our kid at 5 but that's when we moved here. We do know freinds who moved when their kid was 4 and sent her to an ESF school.

Make sure you register early enough as spaces are very tight and there is a lot of competition for the limited spaces.

Hi Calli,

Kids start kindergarten here at 3 and then move to Primary School at 5. There are loads of pre-schools, it all depends which neighbourhood you plan on moving to.
Our little guy is going to start at the ESF kindergarten next week.
