Unhappy Refused Entry in HK

Hi! I need some advice Because recently my boyfriend was refused an entry here in Hong Kong airport though he already applied for a tourist visa in Philippines and was granted a one month visa. We already had all the supporting documents prepared but still the immigration wouldnt let him in.

The immigration reason was because he had been here for the past six months. Every after three months he would go back to the philippines and would come back, though during those past three months he would exit Hk and go to china to get an extention.
His last stay here was around August 2005 and he tried to come back on December 3 2005.

Now, my question is, will he still be able to come here to hong kong and visit? If not, is there any other option that we could do?..

Please help..

Tnx

I'd check with immigration directly and ask them.

I'd assume you both knew that what he was doing was very suspicious to immigration as they would of got the impression he was working here for those 6 months?

He clearly isn't coming as a "tourist" so a tourist visa is not appropriate. Immigration have been known to issue extended stay visas to people who are demonstrably the long term partenr of someone who has residence rights here. The best course is to be honest with immigration and ask their advice, but I suggest you haven't done yourself any favours by apparently "pushing" the system so far.

Hello
I have heard about extensions of visa tho when I went to get suitable forms (in the end had a complete stack of everything) the immigration could not give me any advice on non-married relationships and seemed very puzzled as to which form to give/what type of visa applied.
I have heard that you need a letter from the work visa holder ie your partner to confirm that they are 'sponsoring you' and funding you etc and that they have the means to do so (and you must be interviewed in person)
Since many tourist visa get renewed inadvertently (not 'deliberately) just by going on holiday/short break, at what point is it necessary to apply?
