I was very interested in what i read.

I would like to just point out a website i came across the other day which had one particular thread that kept me reading for nearly 2 hours!! Its all about racism in hong kong! I do want to state that you should not go read this thread if you are easily offended as it has not been moderated. I was just wondering what sort of opinions people had about the matters in discussion in the following link:

http://www.flyingchair.net/story.php?storyID=495

sorry KIA if im breaking some forum rules by posting this?

I would like to state also that the reason i was so intriguied by what i was reading is cos i have lived in HK for 15 years and of course was well aware what people thought but never realised to what extent it went. I also realise that that does represent a small amount of people that actually live in hong kong but where there is one there is more!

With all due respect to Flyingchair, that post of his has attracted a rather fringe element.... think back to the days of icered.com ....

Racism exists in Hong Kong, like it exists everywhere in the world.

jimmygb18 is on a distinguished road
Kept me reading aswell..............

I see what you meant hughb2000 when you said the thread was not moderated.

I feel a little shocked and gobsmacked to have read what was being said.

Though it only represents a small amount of people living here I never truly thought racism in Hong Kong was that prevalent.

she's definitely the exception rather than the rule. keep in mind that she speaks fairly good English - maybe she got burned by an Indian lover Shoot, she could be an ex-girlfriend. Just kidding. No matter where you go, you'll find people at the far ends of every continuum you can imagine.
