Hi,

just note that upon approval of your student visa, you have a three months validity date. ie you have to be in HK within 3 months from the approved visa date.

yup and it takes 4-6 weeks to get the visa

hi kathleen

no i will start undergraduate studies (i know its a bit late with 22 ), not as exchange but full time. i've got permanent resident so its no problem.
i'll be getting a flat somewhere in sai kung, its really nice out there, and if you dont mind the extra travel time, its a lot better than kowloon tong...

i know what you mean which is why i am not looking at staying at Kowloon Tong. I might stay at Lam tin, Tseun Wan or shatin though. I am also considering a place in Taikoo.

the problem is there that are no proper gyms like fitness first in the suburban areas... argh... unless i find a place with a gym in it.

I will be looking for a place when I am there next month. I rather spend the same amount of money and live in a bigger place.

I guess I am used to bigger space and sleeping on my queen size bed all my life.

Well, the problem is that I study on the bed; somehow I am more efficient studying on the bed, so in a way I need a queen size bed.. bad habits are hard to break... sigh

Meanwhile, I am looking for potential flatmate too.

Hey been to Sai kung... lovely place but i think I still prefer to be slightly closer the city as I have a couple of friends working at Wan Chai and to meet up and go out, perhaps that is good.

Anyway, doing undergrad at 22 is not that old. My flatmate in Sydney was 20/21 when she started her undergrad.

so are you enrolled in UST or HKU?

You can try Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) or Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) - no cantonese required! ;-)
