I was wondering where I can buy a decent laptop for a reasonable price here in HK, or even better - a place where I can buy used ones. Can't read Chinese script on Ebay.com.hk!

just to name a few... i recently got a pretty good brand new lap top for about $7k 6 months ago. Nothing to special about it but it had everything you would need unless you were using it for graphical design or some hardcore 3D gaming!

Avoid Dell at all costs... I've seriously gone of them after the display on a 13 month old laptop (barely used) went out on us.

There is a used laptop shop in Wanchai Computer Center ... the range that I saw yesterday was from $3-10K. On the first floor, near the escalator (not the stairs) that go up to the second floor. Sorry.. don't have their business card / details on me.

Personally I would buy from that red dots auction site but currently there are not many 'decent' notebooks for sale except this one http://www.red-dots.com/item/eng/auc...temnum=4023957. Of the three shops in the WCC I can only comment that the two upstairs seem to move stock pretty quickly. Before I bought mine (from that auction site) I would regularly visit the shops and make a note of the prices. By the next day the ones I liked had gone and have never re-appeared. The advantage over buying from an auction site is being able to give the item a thorough testing. The shops also offer a short but useful warranty.
I've just remembered that there is a shop in Windsor House that also sells used notebooks.

What's yoru budget? And will you be moving it a lot ie. is weight the most important factor..

Yeah, I am looking for something lightweight and reasonably powerful. That example laptop given above is what I'm looking for, but Idon't think I'll be buying right now anyway.
