Calling all bikers!

ok, i know for a fact that atleast a few of you ride motorcycles.

here's a call out for a shout out - if you ride, leave a msg.

once the numbers are established, a ride will be organised~!

it would be great to mention what type of bike you have, years riding, skill level (as judged by self), can u take a pillion, can you offer a spare helmet.

if you ride but just don't have a bike in HK as yet, pls feel free to also leave a msg.

any other ppl that don't ride but have an interest or wants to be a passanger, also pls leave a msg~!

anyone that's gonna tell us how dangerous riding is, we already know; we ride, you don't~! so pls feel free to move on to another post.

Count me in~

I have a white Honda CB250, yes, it's exactly the same smallest model used by the police, I'm thinking about buying a new one~ This bike is perfect in many ways in HK, but it isn't really nice to look at

The CB250 is my first bike and I've been riding it almost every day for about 1 yr. I only have street experience and I believe I'm a pretty safe driver~ (with a 250, I don't think I can do anything dangerous, right?)

I can take a pillion, but I don't have a spare helmet~

AMEN to that Bro'

I'll be looking for a ride from March onward, but i'm stuck in Oz again till then...

What about Mr Gwailo - do u have a spare helmet, dude? can i go pillion on ur hayabusa?

BTW, anyone know if HK still has stocks of ER-5's.. they apparently dont make 'em anymore, and i woz hoping to get one in March, cos they same price as a new CB250... and much better for 2-up

Hi all,
Love to come out on a ride with you, as long as it's not 7am sunday mornings like the HK superbike club. Waaay too early for me.

Bike: Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa. 300kmh+ model (single seat but pillion seat can be fitted)
Years Riding: UK Ten years. HK 9 months.
Skill level: one big crash in UK Ten years ago. Nothing in HK. You need to be fairly skilled to ride a bike like mine.
No spare helmet, otherwise I would have to ferry the wife about.

Gwailo

Awsome~!

Thanks for showing interest guys~!

looks like we're getting a mixed bag of bikes & riders which is always great~!

so does anyone have preference as to a date & time of day to ride? & also on a route?

I like early mornings (esp on a sunday) cos of fewer traffic but that's also to do with my own sleep pattens - I work over night from 11pm till 8am so i don't have a prob with being tired @ 5am...I don't know the roads/ride routes in HK too well either.

having said that, I'm open to suggestion - this is not MY event, but just a general shout out for riders to meet & mingle.

I've also contacted the HK Katana Club & have invited them to join.

so pls guys, continue to post up your thoughts & hopefully a ride can be organised soon~! oh, & invite your friends!~

Rider here too no bike at present and have held my u.k licence for about 8 years now. fairly experienced and thinking of getting a bike in the spring. Will probably be a 250 2 stroke, always wanted one of those.

hey guys,
I believe the traffic would be fine at any time on sunday, and it's convenient for most of us, right?
I'm not sure about what you guys prefer, but may I make the first suggestion here? I think Route Twisk in Tsuen Wan is quite exciting, it goes all the way up to Tai Mo Shan (quite demanding when going down). And then probably we could take Route 9, which is a highway leading us to Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, Sheung Shui, Tai Po & Shatin. Wonderful views throughout the journey, it's possible to stop at some points and enjoy food, as well as the sea view.
In fact, I'm a local, so if you have anything in your mind, please tell me, I hope I can help you to draft the route.
Hope we'll ride together soon~~~
Allen
