It looks and loads much faster. One thing that is tricky is the latest threads listing. It's a bit compact, and 'looks' like one big line of text. The previous version which had them more spread out made it easier to read / glance. Maybe that's just me.

Of course, this is minor. The overall touch and feel is much smoother. Congratulations.

Valencia1 will become famous soon enough
If you have another window with a click button showing the sub-forums like Geo-Baby does, it'd be much quicker for me to click forums and then the sub-forums. Now every time I have to click 1 more button than before.

anyway to bring back an exhausive 'latest messages' ? then we can just click on the button to check wat are the new postings across the board. if not we'd have to run to each forum. the latest messageson the right hand side is not exhausive from the last login.

There is a "Latest Topics" column on the right hand side of geoexpat's homepage. It shows all topics since my last visit; it works like the "latest messages".

Shri, if possible add an user option to filter out cities' forums which the user may not be interested into. It will get quite messy when the new forums start getting busy

Kostas : Yep .. will happen ...

We've collectively spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out how to do this.... and am waiting for some code to get done before I can test the various options.

Option 1: User filtering -- not the best option given that most users will be too lazy to filter.
Option 2: Forum based... if you're in the Singapore forums or a SIngapore thread you'll only see the latest threads in that part of the forum.

Weighing the pros and cons.. should have something for you lot to bang on by end of next week.
