Ringtones

Any recommendations for sites to download ringtones? Is it possible to get polyphonic ringtones for free?
Thanks.

Many mobile phone shops do that with a charge. Websites charge too, but they're mainly local pop songs.

the polyphonics sounds much better then mp3's coming out of those things....

the mp3 is just a gimmic as a ringtone for a few days...then you relize how shitey it sounds...

just search on p2p netwroks for poly ringtones....theres millions out there...

better yet...get a midi player on your computer and make your own....

i use logic to make my own ringtones

au contraire..

are you implying the MP3 player on the sony walkman fone is inferior to polyphonic ringtones? it is only let down by the mono loudspeaker used to play the tone (and the MP3 playback through the headfones is on par or better than other MP3 players/iPod)

composing songs on a midi would be tedious, as every track would need to be composed seperately.

in answer to the original post, I don't think free ringtones are really worth it/free. you're supplying your number to a marketing company that has to make money somehow, eg SMS spam. and most the ringtones i have downloaded for my older fones have sounded very... compressed.

your service provider should have some tones to download, but yes, they do cost. but it's a small cost to pay for peace of mind, knowing the ringtone is safe, and so is your privacy.

How many times has anyone stopped to listen to the ring tone when the phone rings??
Why bother?
Maybe even put it on silent mode!Saves everyone the nuisance!!
