Visa problem

I am Australian. I am told that overseas passport holders can work in HK company for not more than 3 months. However, should I firstly get any visa approval from Australia?

Is it I could only work for 3 months in one company? Can i extend the visa then?

As an Australian passport holder you can apply for a Working Holiday Visa as long as you meet the criteria for it.

This visa enables you to work in HK, but for no longer than 3 months at any one place. If you want to work someone longer then you need to get a Working Visa - which basically requires getting a company to sponser you.

It is easier to get one of these if you have got a WHV and actually got a job (catch 21 being you kinda need a visa to get a job) and also im told there is a certain salary boundary which makes getting a working visa easier.

It all depends on what it is you are trying to achieve!
