hey, try to search the yahoo or other serch engines for ur interested field and send you CV to them... did u say u only tried 3? thats not enough. Internship is not very popular in HK, but marketing and banking should be very competitive... esp large company. Try more and dont give up! Good luck. PS, I regard myself as lucky, I sent my CV to 20 organisations and I so far had 3 offers

Actually internships are becoming very big in HK as the government has been supporting a scheme where businesses can gain financial benefits (tax breaks) if they take on interns. Getting in an internship requires some saavy no matter the market- such as you have to market and sell yourself by creating your won 'fit' to the company/organization you are targetting. In your cover letter (e-mail) you want to captivate the reader by saying hey this is what your company does and this is how you can utilize me - it's a win-win, situation for all parties involved. Most likely companies and organizations are not looking or even wanting an intern thus the reason why you need to make more of an effort on the marketing and sell aspect of both your hard and soft skills (technical and personable). A great place to begin are Chamber of Commerce's and Business Associations - they are always looking for interns and a great way to network too.

HI all! I juz wanna say thanks to all of you guys!!! It wasn't easy at all, why would a company bother to hire an intern from abroad while they can get a local one.. apart from that, they need to help these foreign interns to apply their training visa.. But i finally got one and it was a pleasant experience, therefore i hope i can go back for my final project.......... * seeking again * Thanks again
