Banks share negative credit information and the agencies track the number of queries that have been made.

Positive information is not fully shared, given that other banks will use that info or the agencies might share the info to allow competitors to poach good customers.

Check this for more info on the status of the positive credit reporting progress.

Negative records will stay in your file pretty much forever. Correct me if I am wrong. There is no law requiring negative records be removed after 7 years. You are pretty much naked in terms of your credit life. Informations are collected and shared by big corporations daily and of course they won't tell you. Don't be too serious about privacy in HK.

from what i have learned...and i may be wrong

negative reports stay forever...
HOWEVER....your current credit score only reflects previous 7 years.
most people will only look at 7 year history .... BUT there are a few that look at 10 years ... maybe some that look more but i dont know of any
