Helpers are supposed to get all the public holidays off, and also after working for you a certain amount of time (not sure how long as we dont have a live in) you do buy them an airline ticket for a visit home. Not sure if the above is what your helper is asking for.

Helpers only get statutory holidays off and not public holidays. They get a ticket home at the end of a 2-year contract.

Many years ago, on a weekend night, I was in a disco and saw many of them. Btw, the admission fee was $100/person.

It is a known fact that some foreign domestic helpers will party if allowed to. When they do they don't get home until the early hours of the next morning stinking of cigarette smoke, alcohol and cheap perfume.

...mixing with foreigners, out all hours on weeknights, dancing to loud music til the early hours of the next morning, stinking of secondhand cigarette smoke, alcohol and perfume - that was me Gosh! I hope they don't find out about it at work...

Does your employer forbid you from doing these things then? Are you happy to accept work on those conditions?

And how does going out partying relate to bringing disease home to the kids anyway?
