Standard two pin Audio cables should work, or you might need something that converts from your headphone jack on the computer to a two pin Audio connector.

Best thing to do would be take your notebook to the cable shop and tell them you need the cables to connect them to your TV.

There two kinds of "sui for". One is literally taken straight from the other country, like Japan, and sold here through a non-authorised retailer. This kind will not be the correct voltage at 120v. The other kind is built for this market and also sold through a non-authorised retailer. You want this kind.
It will work here and if it is multi-system should record HK broadcasts with no problem. The signal laid down on the tape/disc will be an NTSC one.

Only on those that can play DVD-RW discs. Confusing? The older big name players probably can't play them except for some Sony models like mine which I got in 1998. Most recent models can play them. Computer DVD players can play them if again they are recent models.

Does these recorders offer like a second S-video out so you could record it to a video capture card on a computer?
Your best option is to install a firewire card into your computer and connect the two with a firewire cable. Nearly all DVD recorders have this port.

Valencia1 will become famous soon enough
The Chinese Club (5/F) in a building in the middle of the st. famous for cameras and dvds etc. in Mongkok has "sui for". My husband and the salesman told me other shops selling "sui for" are not reliable, since their machines do not have English menus, only Japanese. I'm an idiot with dvds, since I was buying a digital cam there. When you're there be careful of blacklisted shops, since they'll lock you up in case there's a dispute.

What I mean is the Chinese Club is OK since their "sui for" have English menus, but their salespeople may not be so friendly. One salesperson there warned us of other "sui for" which do not have English menus built in, only Jap menu. There are some blacklisted shops in the same street which you have to avoid. Hope this helps.
