As we know dependant spouses of PR's in Hong Kong can't sponsor their parents. Also neither can the PR's of Hong Kong sponsor their parents-in-law for residence.

Are there any possibilities at all that under special circumstances the parents of dependant spouse be sponsored ?

Perhaps the trick involves changing the visa from being a dependant to that of an investor or employee in HK. You could then sponsor the parents.

Have you talked to immigration about this?

Ok.. I'm being a bit simplistic with this approach, but you never know.

By the way http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/hkvisas_4_1d.htm does not define dependants. Perhaps inlaws can be classified as dependants?

Having a dependant sponsoring a dependant requires very special circumstances and is very complicated. Just because you want them here in Hong Kong is not enough.

Do you think in laws can be sponsored as dependants by a PR... Emigra over to you again.... !!!

.... and does care for aged / health reasons / no other siblings ie total dependancy..... and a compelling letter be grounds enough to apply !!!

If you are a PR and you are the only child and your parents are over 60 years of age then it may be possible for you to sponsor them. But there are numerous other things to take into consideration.

With immigration every case if different since Emigra has been operating (over 10 years) so you have to go on the grounds of expertise and experience.
