Food delivery - AT NIGHT!

"What the .... helllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ???????" - said I tonight after spending 45 min on the web and on the phone trying to order some food delivery. ALL restaurants, i mean EVERYBODY, are closed after 11 p.m.
Ok, I can imagine many of locals are ascetics, but expats have got to have this service in demand!!! I mean, I will never believe there are no delivery service just because nobody needs it.

Have anybody ran into this problem?

So far, this is the one of the biggest dissapointments in HK for me, in one line with lack of museums, lousy arts and total absence of theatre.

PLEASE, if anyone can advise a 24 hrs delivery service, PLEASE let me know! I will buy you a dinner for this info!!!!

oh...HK is not like what it was 10years ago.
if it is 1995 or earlier.. you could easily find restaurant and cafe at 1am!!

but now-a-day. even area like Causeway Bay is not much choice...except local fastfoods...

I once drove from Tuen Mu to Mong-Kok, Cauweway Bay, Wanchai in one evening and found nothing suitable to eat.
Finally, I drove back to Yuen-Long (New Territories) and found restaurants opening till 3am!! (and Yuen-Long is probably the only remaining district that still keeps this night-life style!!)

it's not possible to ask for "food-delivery" after 11pm..sorry!
my only suggestion is to keep bread and sandwich ready in the kitchen so you can make something yourself

Where is your location? Some Mc Donald's do open 24 hours and they do have deliver service close by.

You can also call the close by hotel for food delivery.

Many famous noodles place are 24 hours, but u get to know where they are. Wanchai, TST, Tai Po...........ask the nite shift Taxi drivers, they always have good food at late mid nite!

no!! you must be in the wrong area.
you can find good museums in TST, Kowloon or Shatin
and art gallery is in Central (I think)

you can find many "world class performance theatre play" in Wanchai art-center.. (or in TST culture center)

you can check on the related web site!
there are many performances all-year-round.

2 Stanley,
McDo, good idea! Thanks! Hope they do have the delivery. Where can I send you the dinner that I promised?

2 cb1118,
First of all, sorry for being to rough about HK (empty stomach drove me offroad a little).
Agree, TST has got great Museum of HK. Science museum is also nice, but imho more fore kids. The arts museum next to it is pretty good, but good exhibitions are not often. What else? Several temples. Haven't been to ShaTin yet. Can't comment. Anyway, we've counted on one hand so far. So, total 5-8 musems for 7 million city?

Art gallery in Central? You mean one? Yes, there is Frindge (10-15 pictures per exhibition) and some workshops. So, again one-hand count.

Theatre, "world class performance theatre play" - come ooon . Pavorotti comes. Ok, thats one. Kilye been here recently. That's two. Kenny G? Thats 0.5. High class arts of Asia - yes. But definitely not world class.

Once again, I don't mean to be rude to the city, which is magnificent! But arts, theatre and eat-out at night are not the strongest sides, needs improvement! (AATN: www.gov.hk) ))

Delivery by night. We can find plenty of places to eat fairly late in Causeway Bay, Wanchai (Dai Pai Dongs seem to remain open 24/7) and Central. Not had a problem finding food at 1/2AM if I really do need it (in the areas mentioned).

cerberus is an unknown quantity at this point.
causeway bay's not the best for food, especially lunch, it's all samey and mostly crowded to begin with. can't help there, cept you could try brecht's on leighton, i think they stay open late and have hearty food. right?

My advise...do keep tons of wide selection of foods in your fridge. That is what I do. I refuse to grab a taxi just for food in the middle of the night.

there isa good Kebab place in Wanchai. It is nothing like the crappy kebabs you have in London after a large night out. These are real nice (read proper meat !) kebabs.

I second the flying pan option.
