I'm new here, and would love to party with whoever. New Year Eve in HK, can't wait!!! Anywhere in HK island will be great. Somehow I always get lost when I cross the harbour.

Is this place going to be nice to my wallet? I refuse to pay 3 figures for a silly drink especially after double celebrations! Do count me in though....hahahahaha....

I wanna join in!

I'll be in HK (30 dec - 2 jan) with a galfriend for the countdown to 2006..

Haven't been to HK for more than 6yrs.. so it'll be nice if i can get pointers on where to go for the best parties, and even nicer if i'll get to join in the partying with u guys!

NYE Parties?

I'm an American student traveling to Hong Kong over New Years. If anyone has fun NYE/bar ideas in general, that'd be wonderful. Thanks!

Sorry jungli but I won't be able to organise a junk party because I will be out of town until December 31. That's why I opted for the easier solution of getting together at Schnurrbart in LKF. If someone else wants to organise a junk party, I'm sure we can convince some of those, who plan to join us in LKF, to party on a boat instead.

Table Reserved at Schnurrbart on Dec 31 @ 21:00

I reserved a table under my name (Axel) at 9p.m.; unfortunately two parties have already booked a number of tables for dinner at Schnurrbart and thus, all I could get was a single table for six people. However, since there is no cover charge and no NYE-surcharge on drinks, it is a good place to meet and decide where to go later. The party is right outside on the street anyway. Also, I was warned that crowd control measures will be put in place in LKF from 10p.m., which means queueing to get into the square marked by d'Aguilar / Wyndham / Lan Kwai Fong streets. Well, I'm off to the airport and should be back from Europe in time for the party, fingers crossed.
