wooden blinds

hi everyone,
I have just moved into a nice new apartment- but with no blinds or curtains- and im getting sick of being woken at 7 in the weekend!
I would like to get wooden blinds fitted in my bay windows, but am quite poor now (thanks to that massive agents fee etc..!)
Does anyone know of good cheap places to buy blinds? I was told Wanchai, but wouldnt know where to start!
Thanks

hey,
try the wanchai market. you never know what you'll find there. otherwise, i know you can buy cloth there, and with that, you could make temporary drapes for the time being until you have more money to shop at Ikea or G.O.D.

In Wan Chai go down Queens Road, mainly they look like the just do curtains but most do blinds too. I wallked along there and checked out lots of places - the price varied heaps and after a few shops you know what to ask for. I will see if I can find the name of the cheapest one for you - it was tiny right on the corner of a side street, opposite side of the street to the Hopewell Centre. Still have to get mine done - Do you live at Cherry Crest by any chance? I was going to get the roller blinds from Ikea but then working out how to install them and what sizes would fit got all too hard but I saw some of the packaging in the trash so someone must have used them successfully - they are even cheaper and would be perfect.

Thanks, will have to go into Wanchai and see what I can find. I dont live at CC, but am guilty of buying Ikea roman blinds and being unable to put them up. Dont know how to get hooks in the ceiling above my bay window, tried sticky hooks but they fell down. Im hopeless at DIY! Decided it was time to call in the experts...

Shenzen has plenty of blinds in that mega-mall on top of the train station, if you are heading that way.
