Question Teaching Jobs

Hai Everyone,
I Would Like To Know What Are The Qualification Requirement For A Teaching Job In Hong Kong And How Much Salary One Can Expect. I Have Also Heard About Net Teachers What Is It Exactly And How Much They Earn. What If One Is A Science Graduate (university) From America But An Asian.

It Would Be A Great Help. So Pls Reply At Your Earliest.

To be a NET teacher it doesnt matter so much about your degree subject but you have to at least have a TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). If you dont already have one than its pretty easy to get online (although fairly expensive) and only takes 60hrs in theory (actually takes less). The pay and benefits are really good and worth the effort but im not sure how easy it is to get a job. Your best bet is to get in contact with the EMB who employ people directly for the scheme. They'll be able to answer all your questions. Good Luck :-)

I'm not finding it easy though!
struggling on stage 4 at the moment! argh I need your tuition again!

tefl isn't that expensive, one online company has 20% off at the moment, but it expires tomorrow! so be quick!

check out www.emb.gov.hk for info on the NET Scheme. You should have no prob finding work as many NET's have fled the city following pay cuts and horrendous (in some people's minds) working conditions...
