Seriously, this is quoting a close friend/ex-collegue who grew up in HK. No, the 649 is harder to win. I don't know about the odds but at least the interview process isn't determined purely by luck.

But look at it this way, would you still feel so lucky if they answered everyone's application and if the MT program is easy to get in?

When we look at these odds, we have to ask how the screening process takes place. Do they interview everyone who submits a CV? If not, what type of screening do they have? The reason of this very slim chance may be that (1) they interview everyone who applies (2) They don't have a filter - only top 3 schools, top x% of class...

My question is to icer and eurokea, did you guys meet the requirements such as language skills in Cantonese and Mandarin or just Cantonese? I want to see if you knew both or either if it is both and or either then CX chose all applicants. Hope to see you guys for the next intake.

What coolgirl says is true, looking at the high number of interviewees it does seem to point to the fact that they interview everyone that applies. That said, another friend who also applied back in December didn't get an interview notice so I would say that we can safely assume that they do filter the applications first - so do feel proud of yourself eureka2006 Eureka2006, I'm thinking that Schedule 2 applies to us Canadians because it says that Skd 1 is for Uk and State-side applicants. Hi riyaaz, I can speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese fluently but my Chinese reading comprehension's kinda iffy... I was basically forced to read and speak Mandarin because I was working for a Taiwanese company during my time in HK so I can relate if you're trying to learn how to recognize ALL those freakin' characters! Man, I got so many laughs from the cashiers at McD's when I tried to read the menu and Chinese and thought the character for "Crunchy" was the character for "Fat"

When they post the job advertisement, they have listed out the interview process. Which month conduct first interview, second interview...and the job starting date In fact, they selected few candidates out of thousand applicants. Good Luck~
