Great list - my visitors (who arrive in one week) requested at least 1 or 2 Dim Sum outings as well as good, clean seafood (no junk trips/lamma island trips) -

1) for dim sum at City Hall - do they take reservations, or do we just need to get there early?

2) any recommendations for good seafood without needing to board a ferry or junk?

Thanks everyone.

Why not get on a ferry or junk? Otherwise I would suggest the waterfront in Sai Kung. I'm presuming you want 'Chinese' seafood, otherwise I would suggest the first floor of Stormy Weather.

Very good chinese food indeed!
Perfect for a business diner specially if you are not paying (it's very expensive...)

Any recommendations for seafood besides Sai Kung - sorry, have bad memories of Sai Kung ever since some friends got food poisoing there. Anything on HK island or in Kowloon?

And any hints on how to get a table at City Hall - show up at 11AM?

Thanks.

Hutong is in the 28th floor of 1 Peking road building, the same as Aqua Bar. Bring a credit card (or better yet, someone else's!)

Turn up before 12pm and you should be fine. The queue moves quickly and it is a big place.

Best Vietnamese: Pho Saigon
319 Hennessy Road (between Wanchai and Causeway Bay)
2833 6833

Sincere, tasty, cheap Vietnamese pho shop. Run by two Australian Vietnamese brothers, it's just a cheap little noodle shop frequented mostly by locals. But the pho is really much better than any other that I've tasted in Hong Kong, for example the famous "Pearl Vietnam" near Lan Kwaifong clearly run by Chinese who don't quite get what Vietnamese pho is supposed to taste like.
